Cascina Corte, a vineyard with deep roots in the post-World War II era, began its journey when the first vines were planted in the rich soils of the Langhe region. Though the original vines produced only small quantities of grapes, their quality was unmatched. When Amalia and Sandro took over the estate, they were driven by a shared passion for reviving this historic vineyard. Both dedicated to the craft, they brought a unique blend of expertise and love for the land. Amalia, with her meticulous attention to detail, and Sandro, with his visionary approach, worked tirelessly to restore the vineyard to its former glory.
They painstakingly replaced missing vines, rebuilt the supporting poles and wires, and carefully reorganized the vineyard, breathing new life into the land. Today, Cascina Corte flourishes with thriving Barbera and Nebbiolo vineyards, a testament to their dedication.
But Amalia and Sandro's commitment didn't stop there. In 2002, recognizing the importance of sustainability, they embarked on the challenging path to organic certification. Their efforts paid off three years later when Cascina Corte earned its organic status in 2005. Since then, the vineyard has been a beacon of organic winemaking, reflecting Amalia and Sandro's deep respect for nature and tradition.
Each bottle of Cascina Corte wine tells a story—of resilience, passion, and an unwavering commitment to the land. Amalia and Sandro have not only preserved a historic vineyard but have also created a legacy that honors the past while looking toward the future.
